About sourceofmana

Source of Mana is an early-stage open source 2D MMORPG inspired by classic pixel art RPGs, developed by veterans of The Mana World using the Godot 4 engine. It offers both solo and multiplayer gameplay in a fantasy world where players explore, interact with NPCs and other players in real-time, battle monsters, complete quests, and collect loot. The project features a server-authoritative architecture and uses Tiled for level design. Available platforms include Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Web via HTML5 and WebAssembly. The game uses WASD for movement with various keyboard shortcuts for combat, inventory, stats, quest tracking, and chat. The project welcomes contributors including pixel artists, sound designers, programmers, UI/UX designers, and writers.
