DiDiCallCar
DiDiCallCar is an Android ride-hailing application inspired by Didi, built entirely from scratch by a single developer. It targets two main concerns in modern ride-hailing platforms: identity verification mismatches between drivers and vehicles, and internationalization for global markets. The app is built with Android Studio, OpenCV4Android, Baidu Maps LBS, and a backend powered by Apache, PHP, and MySQL hosted on a Tencent Cloud server. Core features include: Map route planning. Users select pickup and destination addresses with autocomplete suggestions. The app draws an optimized route on the map and dispatches a vehicle. RFID authentication. Using the phone's NFC reader, passengers scan an RFID chip embedded in the driver license or vehicle. The scanned data is encrypted with an MD5 algorithm implemented through NDK in C, then sent via OkHttp3 to the server for verification against the registered driver database.
