Atomic Agent
atomic-agent is a local-first operator agent runtime designed for users who prefer running AI agents directly on their desktop instead of relying on cloud services. It enables a local model to control a full desktop environment, including browsers, file systems, shells, Git repositories, scheduled tasks, Telegram, MCP servers, and custom Tauri sidecars. Built for OpenClaw and OpenCUA class agents, it is optimized for local inference using llama.cpp, featuring KV-cache reuse, grammar-constrained tool calls, and inspectable state. The architecture processes one inference at a time to produce a JSON array of tool calls, which the runtime executes before compressing results and updating durable state for the next step. This approach minimizes context waste and allows users to bring their own model servers or use the bundled CLI.
