Google Container is a Firefox add-on that isolates your Google activity from the rest of your web activity to prevent Google from tracking you across other websites via third-party cookies. Forked from Mozilla's Facebook Container, it uses Firefox's Multi-Account Containers feature to keep Google in a separate browsing container. When installed, the add-on signs you out of Google, deletes its tracking cookies, and ensures Google websites always open in their own dedicated container. You can log into Google normally within that container, but when you browse other sites, Google cannot easily link that activity to your Google identity. Key limitations: Like buttons and embedded Google comments on third-party sites will not work, and you cannot use Google to log into or create accounts on other websites. The add-on does not stop Google from collecting data during your activity on Google-owned properties, nor does it prevent other ad networks from attempting cross-site tracking.
