NBi is a testing framework designed as an add-on to NUnit, specifically tailored for Business Intelligence and Data Access applications. Its primary goal is to enable users to create comprehensive tests using a declarative approach based on XML syntax. This unique methodology eliminates the need to write C or Java code to specify tests and removes the requirement for integrated development environments like Visual Studio or Eclipse to compile test suites. Users simply create an XML file, which the framework interprets and executes. The framework supports a wide range of data platforms, including major relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
