The Hitchhikers Guide to DFIR: Experiences From Beginners and Experts is a crowdsourced digital forensics and incident response book designed to lower barriers for community contribution while providing authors with a published chapter and an ISBN for their resumes. Written, edited, and published collaboratively through GitHub and Leanpub, this project serves as a proof of concept for transparent, decentralized knowledge sharing within the DFIR space. The book features multiple co-authors ranging from beginners to experts and has been freely accessible since version 1.0 launched in August 2022.
